Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to attend numerous on-campus and virtual events each year proudly hosted or sponsored by the CMU Alumni Association, including a number of events that are planned just for students like you!
Below are some fall events that are open to CMU graduate and undergraduate students.
Fall 2024 Events
Tartan Tuesdays
During the academic year, stop by the Alumni House (5017 Forbes Ave.) on Tuesdays from noon to 5 p.m. to earn special rewards and new swag! Learn more about Tartan Tuesdays. No registration required.

September 8: CMU Night at Pirates
This is your chance to meet alumni from the Pittsburgh Alumni Network and learn more about how you become involved as a student. Plus, you can do it while enjoying the Pirates take on the Washington Nationals. Learn more and register here.

September 28: Scotty Saturday
The Alumni Association will be sponsoring some fun activities and tabling during this year’s Scotty Saturday. No registration required.

October (Date TBD): Fall Day of Service
This is an opportunity for students to meet and chat with recent alumni while working together to help the community. Learn more on the Day of Service website.

October/November (dates will be added in mid to late September): Industry Insights
This is an opportunity for you to choose an industry area of interest from multiple session options. In these virtual sessions, alumni share real-life work experiences in their chosen industry. Students gain valuable insight and are encouraged to ask probing questions to help them better understand the industry. Learn more on the Industry Insights website.

November 1-2: Homecoming
The Homecoming celebration kicks off with Spirit Day on Friday, which will include a zipline, photobooth camper and treats on the Cut in between classes. On Saturday, we’ll have food truck freebies, pop-ups in Legacy plaza, performances, the Homecoming game against the Westminster Titans and tons more. Learn more on the Homecoming website.

November 19: Andrew Carnegie’s birthday
In honor of Andrew Carnegie’s upcoming birthday on November 25, we invite you to stop by Alumni House between 12-5 pm during a special Tartan Tuesday to spin the wheel, take a picture with Andy, grab a treat and have the chance to win a CMU-themed swag bag. No registration required.
